The aim of the ESCRBCC work placement programme is to allow students to put into practice and develop the knowledge gained during the BA course in Preservation and Restoration.
The fact that students can practice preservation and restoration skills within a professional environment also allows them to take decisions and solve specific problems on their own, learn how to work in multidisciplinary teams and also how to assess the preservation – restoration work itself, taking into consideration the everyday needs of the institution or company where they are carrying out their work placement, under the supervision of their tutors.

Subjects: Work placement worth 6 ECTS credits (150 hours), in the second semester of the 4th year, in museums, archives, libraries and institutions within the sector:
Supplementary work placement training I worth 3 ECTS credits (75 hours) in the second semester of year 3, and Supplementary work placement training II also worth 3 ECTS credits (75 hours) in the second semester of year 4. Both assignments are undertaken in museums, archives, libraries and institutions within the sector.
