The objectives of ESCRBCC’s external internships are for students to be able to apply and develop in a professional environment the knowledge they are acquiring in the Conservation and Restoration Degree.
The fact of approaching the practice of conservation and restoration within the professional field means for the student to make decisions and solve specific problems autonomously, know how to integrate in interdisciplinary teams and learn to judge their own conservation work – restoration, adapting to the real needs of the institution or company where the internships take place, always under the supervision of the tutors.
The ESCRBCC has numerous collaboration agreements with museums, institutions and entities throughout the Catalan and national territory, and works every year to incorporate new centers of interest for students.

Subjects:
External Practices. 6 ECTS credits (150 hours), in the second semester of the 4th year, in museums, archives, libraries and institutions in the sector.
The allocation criteria for external internships are as follows:
- In the event that there are more applications than places offered at the same institution, the decision will be made based on the average grade point of the transcript up to the third year.
The specific requirements to be able to take the external internships are:
1) You must have a digital certificate to sign the documents.
2) You must have a Social Security affiliation number to contribute to them.
3) In the case of non-EU students, in order to obtain a Social Security number, you must have regularized residence or, at the very least, have initiated the process of regularizing residence.
