Therefore, that person must be capable of assuming this responsibility and carrying out a strategic plan which includes a diagnosis, a conservation-restoration strategy, preventative conservation, the treatments involved, the documentation of and the action to be taken in relation to the photographic heritage in question.

The Masters in Conservation and Restoration of Photographic Heritage aims to train competent professionals in conservation and restoration in one of the emerging fields such as that of photographic material which is currently neglected in Catalonia and the Spanish State.

This professional qualification ensures that training is based on advanced, methodological and scientific working methods, employing contributions from the latest approaches to research into the characteristics of materials, their deterioration and treatments applied to photographic heritage.

Training includes practical studies in institutions dedicated to preserving photographic heritage and supervised by specialists who will provide the materials for the final work for the Masters.[/vc_column_text]

[vc_video link=”https://youtu.be/Nlnte533NHI”]

[vc_column_text]Master in Conservation and Restoration of Photographic Heritage (60 ECTS credits)

During the 2015-2016 academic year, the ESCRBCC wrote a report on the verification of a master’s degree in conservation and restoration of photographic heritage.
